South Eastern Regional College (SERC) has joined forces with the TSSA Union Learning Project to equip Translink staff with language skills to help them communicate better with the increasing number of tourists. French and Spanish classes have commenced and have proved so popular that IT courses have been now been added to the training schedule.
Mark Wilkinson, TSSA’s Learning Organiser states “Investing in the up-skilling and education of people within the workforce is acknowledged by most employers as a major factor in the success of a business. Workforce development is an ongoing process, and one which can only benefit both employee and employer.”
