Assistance for students suffering exceptional financial hardship

 

It is means tested and will only be offered when all other sources of funding have been explored

 

To be over 18 years old on 1 July

Apply when you commence your vocational course.  The application process will take a minimum of 6 weeks.

 

18 Hours' Study

Exemption Fees

 

Students who are aged 19 and over on 1 July and studing at least 18 hours per week on a vocational course at level 3 or below (this applies to both new students and those returning to the second year)

 

Eligible courses include:

 

First Certificate/Diploma, National Certificate/Diploma, Applied AS/AS2, NVQ Level 2/3 not being funded via training scheme

 

Other vocational courses at level 2/3

 

University access courses

 

GCSE/A Level with BTEC qualification

Advise the renrolling officer that you are enrolling via this scheme as your course must be over 18 hours per week. Further assistance will be offered by the enrolling officer.
